The new normal

Swalwell always seemed creepy to me. If I were a constituent, I would have not supported him. I appreciate he had the decency to withdraw, resign, and refocus on his personal life.

 
It just makes me more confused on the double standard in the GOP, where they continue to protect and cover for a President (and others within the party). The President actually had due process, was found both guilty of felonies and liable for inappropriate behaviors.
 
Actions of the individual is one thing, the actions of their supporters speak louder. One side continues to defend the indefensible, the other will have nothing to do with those who won't at least accept responsibility.
 
I'm a Right leaning fiscal Conservative, Social liberal. Sans Trumpism/MAGA I may be a card carrying Republican right now, but the GOP continues to make it very difficult
