Sgt. Vick will be
remembered today:
A St. Paul playground is being dedicated today to police Sgt. Gerald Vick, who was killed in the line of duty three years ago next Tuesday.
The public is invited to attend the dedication at 4 p.m., when a plaque will be placed at Margaret Recreation Center, 1109 Margaret St. A short memorial service will follow, police said.
Sgt. Vick was gunned down while working undercover on May 6, 2005. The suspect was later convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.
